Your Host Leslie Holmes M.C.I / T.H.C.I & A.P.G.A.I. Leslie started fishing when he was 4 years old. He owned and operated Stone Falls Trout Fishery and School of Fly Fishing in Castlerock, Northern Ireland where he also ran a successful guiding business for Mullet and Sea Trout on the fly on the North Coast of Ireland and Europe. Leslie is renowned worldwide for his techniques in catching Mullet on the fly. In January 2014 he relocated with his family to Placida, Florida. He now operates the Leslie Holmes International School of Fly Fishing in Placida in Placida. Leslie is one of the highest qualified fly casting instructors worldwide. He is an International Federation of Fly Fishers (IFFF) Master Casting Instructor; a Two Handed Casting Instructor; and a member of the IFFF Casting Board of Governors. Leslie is also an Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor having both Single Handed and Two Handed disciplines, as well as being a qualified assessor and mentor for G.A.I.A and A.P.G.A.I. He has fished extensively in Australia, Canada and in the USA and at present enjoys pursuing salt water species in Florida. His main passion is sharing his extensive knowledge whilst teaching and demonstrating fly casting and fishing techniques. He is the only certified Two Handed Casting Instructor in Florida, and one of only three on the Eastern seaboard of the USA. Leslie is a member of the G.Loomis Fly Pro Staff team, 1 of 4 in the USA. In addition to this he is also a Pro Staff for Nautilus Fly Reels and Ballistic Speylines and has recently been appointed to the AFTCO Pro staff team; AFTCO are designers, manufacturers and distributors of high quality fishing attire.
